When I moved from Philadelphia to Oregon I was so sad that there was (1) no H&M in this area and (2) that many people I met did not know what H&M was. As an avid H&M shopper and former employee I was shocked that they were not everywhere, especially in a city where stylish, affordable shopping would be a great addition. Being the person that I am, I emailed the H&M office asking if there was any chance they were planning on opening a store in Southern Oregon. I was so grateful to receive a quick response from a real person, but saddened when I was informed that H&M was not coming to my new city. I was given the inside scoop that H&M online shopping was in the works. This made me so happy. So from that day (January 30, 2013) until August 1 I would check the website daily waiting for the store to open.
When I opened the website on August 1, I shrieked….I literally let out a shout of joy and my husband looked over at me concerned that something awful had happened. He knew I was anticipating this moment and that I have been in H&M withdrawal since June 2012 so all I had to say was I’m on the H&M website and he knew why I was so excited. He laughed and said, “I know where my next check is going.” What a sweet comment 😉 LOL
Let me just say, I did not spend my husband’s check for my first purchase, but did spend a little. I got a few things to kickstart my Fall wardrobe and now am waiting for the package to be delivered to my home. It’s been about one week and I am on edge waiting for my new clothes. When they come, I will be sure to share with you all what I bought and how things fit. Here are a few things I ordered:
On another note, now that I can shop online with H&M and not travel all the way to Portland, OR just to get a few things, I have decided to start a shopping savings account. My husband will be happy that he does not have to worry about how much I am spending to buy the cute things I love and I will be able to replenish my Fall wardrobe easily.
Tracking says I am to receive my order today….stay tuned.
